What I do

Tulse Hill

The Streatham constituency contains large parts of Tulse Hill. It is a close-knit community, exemplified by exciting community projects on the Tulse Hill Estate and work of the City Heights E-ACT Academy.

Russia Report Q

I asked Dominic Raab to release the Intelligence and Security Committee’s report into Russian interference in British politics which the Government has been irregularly sitting on.

People's Vote EDM

I signed Jo Swinson’s Early Day Motion calling for a People’s Vote with Remain on the ballot, to test whether there is support in this Parliament for a People’s Vote on Brexit.

Urgent Question on Syria

I spoke in the Commons about the vulnerable British children trapped in Syria and the need to provide them with all the support they need if we are able to repatriate them.

Letter to PM on surveillance

I’ve written to the Prime Minister demanding answers over Number 10 briefings that suggest MPs are the subjects of officially-sanctioned surveillance and intelligence gathering operations into contact with foreign governments.

Withdrawal Agreement

In the Commons to vote against the destructive Withdrawal Agreement. It is a blank cheque for the PM to take us out of the EU without a deal during the trade talks and will damage jobs, wages, and our international standing.

People's Vote March

Fantastic view of the People’s Vote March from Parliament. I will continue to do everything I can to ensure that the people get the final say on Brexit.

British Pregnancy Advisory Service

I met Rachael Clarke from the British Pregnancy Advisory Service to talk about a proposed buffer zone around the clinic on Leigham Court Road. Residents strongly favour a buffer zone.

International Trade Questions

In the Commons this afternoon I raised concerns that the National Audit Office have now warned that cross border shipments could be reduced by 50% and take 12 months to recover as a result of a No Deal Brexit.

People's Vote amendment

Proud to have added my name to this cross-party People’s Vote amendment to the Queen’s Speech.

Meeting Denise Ho

It was a pleasure to meet Denise Ho – a strong advocate for LGBT+ rights and passionate Hong Kong pro-democracy activist. The Chinese government has clearly reneged on the Joint Sino-British Declaration and the Lib Dems support human rights and democracy in Hong Kong.

Reforest the Earth

I received a tree from the Reforest the Earth campaign who are promoting their tree planting campaign to highlight the threat to our environment from deforestation an carbon emissions.

WASPI women EDM

I have signed Early Day Motion 2296, calling on the Government to enact special measures to provide compensation to WASPI women who have lost their pensions from the age of 60.
