Tulse Hill

The Streatham constituency contains large parts of Tulse Hill. It is a close-knit community, exemplified by exciting community projects on the Tulse Hill Estate and work of the City Heights E-ACT Academy.

I have written to the Secretary of State for Health asking what his department are doing to ensure we eliminate new HIV transmissions by 2030.

The Independent Group and I tabled an amendment to May’s deal that would provide for indicative votes in Parliament on Brexit options, and an extension to Article 50 long enough to hold a People’s Vote.

Fantastic discussion with the School Council and Eco Council at Dunraven Primary School, covering knife crime, Brexit, and social media.

Lovely to talk to Caroline from the Happy Baby Community charity, which provides classes, counselling, resources, and care for heavily pregnant women and recent mothers living in emergency accommodation.

It was great to see so many active and engaged young people in Parliament who are demanding their say on the Brexit process!

The Independent Group of MPs as well as the Lib Dems, Plaid Cymru and the SNP have tabled an amendment demanding a People’s Vote on May’s deal.

I have written for Heart Streatham magazine, currently celebrating its 5th birthday, about my resignation from the Labour Party. My first priority is my constituents.

The new Independent Group of MPs sat together for the first time in Prime Ministers Questions, and will work cross-party to achieve a People’s Vote on Brexit.

It was great to welcome Prince Harry to Streatham who was visiting the Streatham Youth and Community Trust and the Street Games project, keeping children fit and healthy.
