Chuka Umunna has spent two decades in law, politics, consultancy and finance advising various companies, organisations and stakeholders on business-critical issues that impact on long term value.

He is currently a Managing Director, Global Head of Sustainable Solutions & EMEA Head of Green Economy Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan, and a member of the leadership team of the firm's Global Advisory and M&A business.

In this role he leads a global team providing sustainability and corporate governance related advice, and transaction support, to enable access to sustainability and energy transition focused capital across equity, debt and private markets. He also coordinates J.P. Morgan’s investment banking coverage efforts in Europe, the Middle East & Africa (EMEA) for clients in emerging green sectors.

He previously worked for the world’s biggest strategy and communications firm, was a non-executive director of several UK companies, and is a former politician who served in a number of senior roles - including as Shadow Secretary of State for Business - for a decade in the UK parliament.  He is a solicitor by profession.
