Streatham
Streatham is where I grew up, and is a vibrant, diverse, and growing community. It is tied together by Streatham High Road, an important business hub and Europe’s longest High Street. Streatham has benefited from its diversity with a growing cultural scene including film, food, and arts festivals supported by the inStreatham business improvement district.
In the House of Commons, I argued that if the Brexit deal reached is substantially different from what was promised we could legitimately ask for another vote.
Traveled to Halifax and Boston to meet community organisations and local residents to talk about immigration for the APPG on Social Integration’s inquiry into the integration of migrants.
I’ve added my support to this Early Day Motion (EDM) calling on the Government to halt plans to replace student nurses’ bursaries with a loans scheme.
