Streatham is where I grew up, and is a vibrant, diverse, and growing community. It is tied together by Streatham High Road, an important business hub and Europe’s longest High Street. Streatham has benefited from its diversity with a growing cultural scene including film, food, and arts festivals supported by the inStreatham business improvement district.

EDM - 369 Cuts to Legal Aid since 2013

Pleased to support Early Day Motion (EDM) opposing cuts to legal aid which have restricted access to justice by leaving thousands of people without legal support.

Safer Neighbourhood Meeting

Chairing a Safer Neighbourhood Meeting of small businesses in Streatham with Lambeth Council and Police to discuss how to tackle anti-social behaviour and crime in the area.

St Leonard's Primary School

Doing a Q&A session with Year 6 students at St Leonard’s Primary School. There were some great questions on everything from Votes at 16, Brexit, and what MPs do.

EDM - 225 Flight of Rohingya Refugees from Burma

I’ve signed this important Early Day Motion (EDM) expressing concern over the increasing number of Rohingya refugees crossing from Burma into Bangladesh having fled violence.
