Clapham

The Streatham constituency contains the eastern side of Clapham across to the Common itself, including Clapham Park Estate, Lambeth Academy, and Thornton.

Clapham is a vibrant community and has undergone significant regeneration and investment in housing and on the high street in recent years. The Common remains a popular destination for tourists and locals.

King’s College Hospital

Visited the Redthread team at King’s College Hospital to get updated on their dedicated service for young people who have been victim of youth violence.

House of Commons - EU Council Statement

Following her statement on the EU Council meeting, I told the Prime Minister that Vote Leave politicians in Government will be held to account for the overblown promises they made in the referendum campaign.

APPG Social Integration - Evidence Session

I chaired the first public evidence session of the APPG on Social Integration. We discussed if the UK has become more or less segregated since the Cantle Report in 2001.

House of Commons - Gangs and Serious Youth Violence

The last month has seen 11 stabbings in Lambeth involving young people. I called on the Government to agree to an independent cross-party commission to look into the causes of youth violence.
