What I do

Cities of London & Westminster

Barbican residents meeting

I hosted an event with Guardian journalist Rafael Behr for Barbican residents to discuss issues that matter to the local community and the latest developments in Brexit.

Visit to KCL

I spoke to students at Kings College London on what would likely happen in Parliament on Brexit over the coming days, as well as taking questions on important issues from disability rights, foreign aid, and the voting system.

Letter to PM on surveillance

I’ve written to the Prime Minister demanding answers over Number 10 briefings that suggest MPs are the subjects of officially-sanctioned surveillance and intelligence gathering operations into contact with foreign governments.

EU citizens event

I met with EU citizens living in London to talk about their difficulties trying to obtain the permanent right to remain – which the PM promised would be automatic. We need to protect their rights and stop Brexit.

Withdrawal Agreement

In the Commons to vote against the destructive Withdrawal Agreement. It is a blank cheque for the PM to take us out of the EU without a deal during the trade talks and will damage jobs, wages, and our international standing.

People's Vote March

Fantastic view of the People’s Vote March from Parliament. I will continue to do everything I can to ensure that the people get the final say on Brexit.

International Trade Questions

In the Commons this afternoon I raised concerns that the National Audit Office have now warned that cross border shipments could be reduced by 50% and take 12 months to recover as a result of a No Deal Brexit.

People's Vote amendment

Proud to have added my name to this cross-party People’s Vote amendment to the Queen’s Speech.

Visit to LSE

I visited the London School of Economics to speak to students and answer their questions on Brexit, foreign affairs, and the climate emergency.

Campaigning on the Barbican estate

This evening I visited the Barbican estate – with Lib Dem mayoral candidate Siobhan Benita – to meet local residents and talk with them about why I’m standing to be their MP.

Meeting Denise Ho

It was a pleasure to meet Denise Ho – a strong advocate for LGBT+ rights and passionate Hong Kong pro-democracy activist. The Chinese government has clearly reneged on the Joint Sino-British Declaration and the Lib Dems support human rights and democracy in Hong Kong.

Visit to St Marylebone Sixth Form

This morning I was invited to visit St Marylebone Sixth Form to meet staff and answer questions from students on Brexit, education, the climate emergency and political reform.
