The Streatham constituency contains the southern part of Brixton. It has a longstanding reputation as a vibrant cultural and creative hub, and has also seen significant transformation and investment. In the House of Commons I raised the severe disruption caused to my constituents by the loss of water supply during the cold snap, and called for a public inquiry into Thames Water’s shambolic handling of the situation.
I’ve signed this important Early Day Motion (EDM) expressing concern about insufficient funding for mental health services in South London, which has led to increased waiting lists for assessment and therapy.
